Wayne E. Marcy Jr. is a Texas-based entrepreneur, Bible teacher, and lifelong student of God's Word who has spent more than four decades discovering what it truly means to live in the freedom and identity that Christ provides.

Wayne is not a pastor or seminary graduate. He is a businessman, a husband, and a father of seven — someone who has walked through seasons of real struggle, the kind that brings you to your knees and forces you to decide whether you actually believe what you say you believe.

It was in those hard seasons, late in life, that the truths in this book stopped being theology and started being lifeline.

Over the years Wayne has served his local church as a deacon, Sunday school teacher, and board member — roles that deepened his passion for helping ordinary believers understand who they really are in Christ.

The Burden

For years, Wayne watched something repeat itself — sincere, God-loving Christians who genuinely believed the Gospel, served their churches, and loved their families, but who lived with a persistent cloud of shame and defeat.

Not because they were hypocrites. Not because they didn't love God. But because no one had ever opened the Word with them and shown them — line by line, promise by promise — what they actually received the moment they trusted in Christ.

His pastor, Bill Waddell, ignited the spark with a sermon series on the Cost of Discipleship. Wayne took that spark and went deep — and what he found changed him. This book is the result of that journey.
